Imagine our absolute shock when this card was finished last week and we learned of Rickey’s passing just a few days later. I’m asked quite a bit who I think the best player, ever is. There’s really no answer. In my mind, the best ever isn’t a compilation of statistics or championships. It’s MOMENTS. For a week in October, it was Reggie Jackson. The truth, to me, is the truly great ones were ALL, at a moment in time, “The best player, ever.” If I had to pick a team of one player at every position, Rickey is in left. The other outfield spots are open to debate within myself. Rickey is in left.
