For pure fun, this is the set. The IDEA of the 1960 Topps issue has always appealed to me—the execution and limitations of the day left me wishing for a brighter and more colorful offering.

The set consists of the first 68 cards of the players with the most impact on that season and a handful of combo cards.

Another , much larger group features players that debuted after 1960 and a handful of players from each team that had solid 1959 seasons.

Like the ‘52 set, we have many variations as the set evolved. Originally, we made the cards to look more “drab” and produced exactly like the original 1960 Topps set. I didn’t like it. The set now has continuity and crispness that makes each card attractive in its own way.

The checklist here is numerically accurate. All photos are from 1958-1960—or the year of performance noted on the reverse. The reverses feature highlights of each player—actual game information—from the seasons… It’s a walk down memory lane!
